Let’s celebrate Halloween with these spooky cake pops! I made them using the same recipe as in my previous post but just used orange and white candy melts to dip the cake pops in. I rolled the crumbled mixture into golf ball-size balls for the eyes as well as the pumpkins. You can give the cake balls more of a pumpkin look by making some vertical lines and squishing it a bit between your fingers to get a more flattened shape. For the ghost cake pops, mold the mixture into a tapered shape instead of a ball. You can use decorating icing (or food colouring, what I used this time but not the best option) to pipe the faces on the pumpkins and ghosts and decorate the eyes. I used red velvet cake and it shows slightly through the white candy coating so for better looking cake pops you can use a lighter coloured cake. But hey, nothing beats red velvet cake and cream cheese so who cares if they don’t look perfect 🙂 !

Happy Halloween! I hope you’ll have a creepy Halloween night and remember, you can run but you can’t hide : )).
