Pineapple Emoji with Heart Eyes

Learn how to easily cut a pineapple and make a pineapple emoji with heart eyes. It’s a fun and healthy snack to serve your kids at parties, on Valentine’s Day or really, anytime :). Go straight to the video tutorial as it’s much easier to watch how it’s done.

Ingredients

1 pineapple
1 strawberry
a few blackberries

Directions

Grab a sharp knife and cut the top part / crown of the pineapple.

Cut one side of the pineapple to create a flat bottom. Place the pineapple, flat side down, and begin cutting it diagonally, along the visible lines. Cut it almost all the way down. Leave just a sliver at the bottom, enough to still hold it together.

Then repeat the same process to cut it along the other diagonal.

Use your hands to spread all the pieces apart. Serve them as they are. Or, cut them into smaller pieces to make the emoji face :-). A few pieces will have the harder core. You can remove that if preferred.

Spread all the pineapple pieces on a platter or big plate. Use a few blackberries to make the mouth.

Pick a strawberry that has a heart shape as much as possible. Cut the leaves. Slice the strawberry in two to make the two heart eyes.
