I have to admit, lobster never really excited me much. Let’s face it—they’re not the most attractive creatures, resembling oversized sea bugs. But that all changed a few years ago while vacationing in Cuba. We took a boat ride, and one of the locals on board caught a few massive lobsters right from the ocean. After a snorkeling session at the coral reef, we returned to a feast of perfectly cooked lobster and fresh fruit that I simply couldn’t resist. That’s when I truly fell in love with lobster. While boiled lobster is delicious, I believe grilling takes it to the next level, adding an irresistible depth of flavor. Grilled lobster tails are not only quick and easy to prepare, but they’re also incredibly flavorful and satisfying!
Time: 30 min, Prep: 15 min. Cook: 15 min.
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
- 8 lobster tails
- 5 garlic cloves
- 10 Tbsp butter
- Kosher salt
- Fresh lemon juice
- Hot dog buns, salad, mayo, tomatoes, green onions for the sandwich
Directions:
Using a kitchen scissors cut through the center of the back shell and then cut each tail in half lengthwise.
Melt the butter and add the minced garlic.
Season lobster with salt and brush with the butter & garlic mixture.
Grill the tails over medium heat for about 10 minutes keeping the lid open (meat side down). Turn the tails over, brush with more butter and cook for 5 more minutes or until the meat is opaque.
Squeeze some lemon juice on top and enjoy as is or make a delicious sandwich!
