These egg bears are super cute and even easier to make that my very popular egg snowmen. They are fun to make with the kids and a great addition to your appetizer platters this holiday season!
Ingredients & Tools
- large hard-boiled eggs
- all spice, whole (or peppercorns or tiny pieces of black olives could work too but not that these usually stain your eggs and won’t be perfectly round)
- uncooked spaghetti/pasta
- 1 Wilton/Ateco round decorating tip #8 (or a 3/4’’ round cutter)
Directions
Peel off the egg shell. Then, cut off the top of the egg. You will be making the mouth and ears out of this small piece.
Use the large part of the round decorating tip to cut the ears and mouth. Make the mouth slimmer, if needed.
Use the small part of the round decorating tip to make a tiny hole in the upper part of the mouth. Then, insert one all spice to make the nose.
Snap 3 pieces of spaghetti, 1.5’’ long, and insert them into the egg to attach the ears and the mouth/nose.
Lastly, use the small part of the round decorating tip again to make two tiny holes for the eyes. Then, insert two all spice pieces to make the eyes.
