In this Birthday Party for Rocket League Fans post, I’ll share an array of delicious finger foods, refreshing drinks, and fun snacks that capture the spirit of Rocket League. Both of my boys are huge fans of Rocket League, so this year, I organized epic birthday parties for each of them that perfectly blended the excitement of racing and the thrill of soccer!
With ideas that reflect both the fast-paced world of racing and the energetic vibe of soccer, you can organize a party that will have your guests cheering for joy.

Finger Foods & Snacks
1. Popcorn: Pop some plain popcorn. This year I bought this reusable popcorn container and these paper cups to make the set up easier. You can easily transform the white paper cups into Rocket League-themed containers by gluing race car stickers onto them. This will transform a classic snack into a fun Rocket League snack.
2. Mini Hot Dogs or Sausages: Serve mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages with a variety of condiments like ketchup, mustard, relish, and cheese sauce. We love these mini sausages in oven-baked bread from Costco. You can make them at home too, any “pigs in a blanket” recipe would work. They’re perfect for racing around while playing.
3. Fruit Cups: Use mini cups filled with melon, watermelon or fresh berries. Offer a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries for a refreshing snack that represents the vibrant colours of the Rocket League cars. You can also use racing cupcake toppers glued onto toothpicks to give these fruit snacks a Rocket League vibe.
4. Store-Bought Fruit Snacks & Mini Desserts: Include a variety of store-bought fruit snacks along with mini desserts for easy serving.
5. Chips or Nachos: Provide a variety of chips as a snack option. You could also set up a nacho bar with tortilla chips, melted cheese, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
6. Rocket League Dip: Create a dip that resembles a Rocket League arena! Spread guacamole or hummus evenly on a rectangular serving platter. Use sour cream to pipe out the goalposts and lines on the dip to mimic the game field and veggies to make other arena details.
Drinks
1. Water Bottles: Keep water bottles on hand for guests to stay hydrated. You can personalize individual water bottles with Rocket League-themed labels featuring their favourite cars. I created these designs with race cars which you can download here and here for free.
2. Mocktails: For a fun non-alcoholic drink, make a “Boost Juice” by mixing pineapple, cranberry, and orange juice. Garnish with a slice of lemon for extra flair. We love using these stackable beverage dispensers for mocktails.
3. Iced Tea or Lemonade: Prepare iced tea or lemonade for a classic and refreshing drink option.
We love this cup holder with the marker slot and we use it for all our parties.
4. Sports Drink Station: Set up a sports drink station featuring a variety of flavoured sports drinks. Include options like Gatorade, Powerade, or the popular Prime drink. For younger guests, offer juice boxes and flavoured sparkling waters instead. Since our kids are still young (8 & 11) we offered the little ones mostly juice boxes & pop.
5. Rocket League Soccer Ball Ice Cubes: Make your drinks extra cool with soccer ball-shaped ice cubes! Use a silicone mold like this one to create fun ice shapes that will keep drinks cold and add a touch of Rocket League flair.
With these racing-themed snacks and drinks, your Rocket League birthday parties will be a blast! Celebrate with delicious food and fun drinks that perfectly capture the spirit of this exciting game. Get ready for an unforgettable birthday filled with laughter and joy.
