In this post, I’ll show you how to craft a delightful Fruitful Christmas Tree adorned not just with green grapes, but also with the vibrant colours of raspberries and blueberries.
Ingredients/Supplies
- 2.3 kg (5 lbs) green grapes
- 200 g (1/2 lb) raspberries
- 200 g (1/2 lb) blueberries
- a 12.4 cm x 30 cm (4.9 in x 11.9 in) styrofoam or recycled plastic cone usually used for crafts & flower arrangements
- plastic wrap/cling film to wrap around the cone
- ~200 toothpicks
- a star ornament for the top of the tree; you can also cut this out of a pineapple slice or a cheddar cheese block using a star-shaped cookie cutter
Directions
Watch this video to see how to make this Fruitful Christmas Tree or read the instructions below.
Start by placing the styrofoam or recycled plastic cone on your workspace. This cone will serve as the sturdy base for your Fruitful Christmas Tree.
To ensure the cone is food-safe and to provide a stable surface, wrap it securely with plastic wrap or cling film. Ensure complete coverage.
Take your green grapes, raspberries, and blueberries. Rinse them thoroughly under cold water and gently pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Follow the same steps as in this other post to create the Grape Christmas Tree. Then, just replace some of the grapes with raspberries and blueberries. Mix and match the colours to create a vibrant and festive appearance.
To complete your Fruitful Christmas Tree, add a star topper.
Or, you can use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut a star out of a pineapple slice or a cheddar cheese block. Attach the star to the very top of your tree using a toothpick to secure it in place.
Your Fruitful Christmas Tree, adorned with green grapes, raspberries, and blueberries, is now ready to grace your holiday table as a natural and colourful centrepiece. Share it with your guests and invite them to pluck off the juicy fruits and enjoy the delightful burst of flavours.
Creating a Fruitful Christmas Tree is not only a feast for the senses but also a creative and healthy way to celebrate the holiday season. It’s a perfect representation of the festive spirit, combining the vibrant colours of the season with the joy of delicious, nature-inspired decor. Share the colours, share the freshness, and have a berry merry holiday season!
