Today, I’m going to show you how to make a croissant crab. I spotted something similar on Pinterest and had to make a few of these croissant crabs for my kids. It’s such a fun and unique way to enjoy a croissant and it’s easier than you might think to turn a croissant into a crab!
Ingredients (for 1 croissant crab)
- 1 butter croissant
- 3 strawberries
- 2 blueberries
- 2 banana slices
- uncooked pasta
- 2 toothpicks
Directions
Use a butter croissant to make the body of the crab.
Now, for the claws, I’m using fresh strawberries. They add a nice touch of sweetness and a pop of color. You just need to slice the strawberry in two and cut a triangle out. Repeat the same process to make all four claws.
And for the eyes, I’m using banana slices and blueberries.
Use a piece of uncooked pasta or spaghetti to attach the blueberries to the banana slices.
Then use two toothpicks to attach the eyes to the croissant.
Make a tongue out of a strawberry slice.
Make a horizontal cut in the croissant for the mouth opening and then insert the strawberry slice in.
And there you have it, a croissant crab. Perfect for a fun and unique breakfast or brunch dish. And the best part, you can eat the claws without getting crab juice all over your hands 😊.
