This Creamy Orange Banana Smoothie will leave your taste buds singing with joy. It’s made with a delightful blend of sweet oranges, creamy bananas, tangy Greek yogurt, refreshing milk, and a touch of indulgent vanilla ice cream. Not only does this smoothie taste amazing, but it’s also loaded with nutritional benefits. Oranges are a great source of vitamin C, while bananas provide potassium and fiber. Greek yogurt is packed with protein, and milk adds calcium and vitamin D to the mix. Even the vanilla ice cream brings a bit of calcium and vitamin A to the party. You can also replace the vanilla ice cream with frozen vanilla yogurt.
Ingredients
- 1 banana, cut into slices and frozen
- 1 orange, cut into slices and frozen
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1 cup (240 g) Greek yogurt
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream (you can use frozen vanilla yogurt too)
I prefer freezing the fruits rather than adding ice cubes, the smoothies are better and more filling this way!
These ingredients are enough to make 2 medium-sized smoothies, about 350 ml each.
Directions
Blend the orange slices, half of the milk, half of the Greek yogurt and one scoop of vanilla ice cream until smooth, pulsing as needed. You might need to scrape down the sides of the blender a few times. Pour into glasses.
Blend the banana slices with the remaining, milk, Greek yogurt and vanilla ice cream.
Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
