- canned pineapple slices
- bacon slices, you will need one bacon slice for each pineapple slice
- toothpicks
Directions
Open the can of pineapple slices and drain any excess juice. Lay the pineapple slice on a clean surface and cut it into thirds.
Cut each bacon slice in three pieces.
Take one of the pineapple pieces and wrap a small bacon slice around it. Start at one end of the pineapple and carefully wrap the bacon around it, securing it with a small toothpick piece (about 1/3 of a toothpick). Make sure the bacon covers the pineapple evenly.
Repeat the wrapping process for the remaining pineapple and bacon slices.
Place a non-stick pan or a seasoned cast iron pan on the stove and heat it over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot. You shouldn’t need any additional oil in the pan as the bacon will release enough fat.
Carefully place each bacon-wrapped pineapple slice into the hot pan.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the bacon becomes crispy and browned. You may need to turn them a few times to ensure even cooking.
Once the bacon-wrapped pineapple slices are cooked to your desired level of crispiness, carefully remove them from the pan. Take out the toothpicks and discard them.
