You can get your kids to make this Easy Chocolate Reindeer. Make the chocolate reindeer antlers the day before so the chocolate can harden. Then, making the reindeer should take you no more than 5 minutes. For the reindeer antlers, you can print out any template from the internet. I used the one from this page.
Ingredients
- 700 g of chocolate-covered almonds
- 1 large marshmallow
- 1 small nectarine, pick a red one (you can also use a red cocktail tomato)
- 50 g chocolate chips/shavings
- parchment paper
- 1 piping bag
- reindeer antlers template
Directions
Melt the chocolate in the microwave 5-10 seconds at a time, stirring each time.
Print out the reindeer antlers template. Then, place a piece of parchment paper on top. Pipe the chocolate on the parchment paper to make the reindeer antlers.
Arrange the chocolate-covered almonds on a round platter. I used an 11” (26 cm) round platter.
Cut the marshmallow horizontally in two to make the eyes. Pipe some melted chocolate on the marshmallows to make the pupils.
Cut the nectarine horizontally into two pieces and use half of it for the nose.
Place the chocolate antlers on top once the chocolate has hardened.
